The thousand-year-old rare gnashing tree in Coc Ly commune has been broken

A millennium old gnashing tree in Coc Ly commune near Sapa Vietnam has just been broken. The cause was determined to be that the tree was old, hollow and knocked down by the wind. The tree has a diameter of 1.2 m, a reserve of about 17 m3 of wood and is about 1,000 years old.

Around the early afternoon of June 8, the Bac Ha District Forest Protection Department received a report from the Coc Ly Commune Forest Protection Team that a rare and precious gnashing tree had been broken. Through inspection, this grinding wood has number 285, belongs to sub-area 164, lot 15 belongs to Coc Sam village near Sapa Vietnam. The reason is that the tree is old, hollow, and has lost its tops before, when it is hit by strong winds, it has been broken. According to the Bac Ha District Forest Protection Department, the tree has a height of about 35 m, a diameter of 1.2 m, a reserve of about 17 m3 of wood and is about 1,000 years old.

The reason is that the ground wood is old, hollow and has been cut off from the top. Bac Ha currently has 259.14 hectares of clams and gnats with 826 trees. This area is mainly concentrated in 6 villages and hamlets of Coc Ly commune near Sapa Vietnam and is cared for and protected by 18 people of the Forest Protection Team.
