Dinh Quoc Cong Nguyen Bac, Khai Quoc Cong god of the Dinh Dynasty, was worshiped by the people in the eastern periphery of the old Hoa Lu citadel, now the land of Ninh Hoa commune near Tam Coc Ninh Binh. Legend has it that this is the place where his office was located and where he was executed by King Le Dai Hanh after he failed to regain the throne for the Dinh dynasty. Among the temples worshiping him, typical is Ngo Khe Ha communal house. Ngo Khe Ha communal house is located in Ngo Khe Ha village, Ninh Hoa commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. Ninh Hoa commune was formerly a suburb of Hoa Lu citadel near Tam Coc Ninh Binh and was also the residence of people who entered the Dinh – Le court. Therefore, this place has many imprints of the Dinh – Tien Le dynasties.

The communal house is the place to worship Dinh Quoc Cong Nguyen Bac, one of the outstanding generals and celebrities of our country in the second half of the 10th century. His glorious career and noble morals were recorded and recognized by history books. forever cherished by the people. The communal house worshiping the name Nguyen Bac was his office, also the place where he was executed. He was conferred by the feudal dynasties as Khai Quoc Cong Than, Father of the Prime Minister, Crown Prince Dinh Quoc Cong, Tuan Phiet, Hong Luan, Ung Thien Phong, Dai Vuong, Ho Quoc, General Cong, Thuong Dang, Phuc Than. The relic is the place where many historical events took place, contributing to the victory of our nation in the resistance wars against the French and the Americans to save the country.

Ngo Khe Ha communal house is built in the style of the second letter, roofed with male tiles. The front hall still preserves the architectural style of the Nguyen Dynasty, the trusses of the gong rack, the poles carved in the shape of the word longevity, the decorative paintings of flipped leaves and the seal line. The palace still retains the long throne, the statue of Dinh Quoc Nguyen Bac. The statue is carved with precious wood, painted with gold vermilion. Currently, Ngo Khe Ha communal house near Tam Coc Ninh Binh is still the place of spiritual and cultural activities of the people in the village and local tourists, where festival activities imbued with national cultural identity take place. On the cavalry day of Nguyen Bac (October 15 of the lunar calendar), the village held a very solemn sacrifice, and descendants from all over the world gathered to offer incense to commemorate the ancestors of the Nguyen family. With those values, Ngo Khe Ha communal house was ranked by the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) as a National Historical and Cultural Relic in 2001.
