In particular, Cuc Phuong Red-bellied Squirrel (Callosciurus erythraeus CucPhuongensis Dao), White-rumped Langur (Trachipythecus francoisi delacouri); Niec Hang fish (Ilurus Cuc Phuongensis Yen), Reticulated Python, Clouded Leopard, Black Bear, Monkey, Chamois… discovered for the first time in Cuc Phuong. Invertebrates in Cuc Phuong have 1899 species and subspecies belonging to 169 families, 33 orders, 6 classes, 3 phyla; Among them: Arthropod phylum has 4 classes, 27 orders, 142 families and 1718 species; The Fire Gun phylum has 1 class, 1 order, 3 families, 52 subspecies and species; The phylum Mollusks (molluscs) has 1 class, 5 orders, 24 families, 129 species and species.

Cuc Phuong near Tam Coc Ninh Binh also has thousands of strange butterfly species flocking together with tens of thousands of brightly colored butterflies flying in flocks, each group is very beautiful. Cuc Phuong has a botanical garden that is one of three gardens in Vietnam listed in the list of International Botanical Gardens. In the future, this will be a place to provide seedlings for growing native plants. This is also a place to preserve the genes of rare plant species, and is a good place for ex situ conservation of many plant species. In 1993, the Frankfurt Zoological Society of the Federal Republic of Germany and the garden implemented the project “Conserving Vietnam’s rare primate species at Cuc Phuong”. The center currently preserves nearly 200 individuals of dozens of species. Many species have bred and been released back into Cuc Phuong forest and national parks in the country. The garden is also funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the World Flora and Fauna Conservation Organization (FFI)… so that the garden can have more conditions for scientific research activities. From a forest protection group, in 1973 the Cuc Phuong Forest Ranger Department was established, staffed with a strong and specialized force. Mobilize people to protect forests. Assignment to guard and patrol the forest 24/7. At the same time, the Park’s leaders coordinated with the local government from 1986 to 1995, campaigning to move 9 hamlets including 185 households and 1043 people out of the strictly protected core area of the forest. In resettlement areas, people are given garden land for housing and upland fields for production, business and services.

Cultural life is increasingly improved and enhanced. Cuc Phuong National Park near Tam Coc Ninh Binh is well protected from forest fires, deforestation, and animal hunting. The Ho Chi Minh Road project, the section passing through Cuc Phuong National Park, has been selected for the most optimal design and construction plan. The entire route follows Provincial Road 437, 27.4 km long through the western buffer zone of the park, with 6 viaducts for animals to cross the Buoi River to drink water. The construction process (2025 – 2028) and putting into use has limited negative impacts on the forest environment. The road section contributes to the 2,499 km long North-South traffic route, with a 684 km sub-route passing through 28 provinces and cities in the country for economic, cultural and social development, serving security and national defense. This is an honor for Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh to have the Ho Chi Minh Road pass through!
